Returns and Refunds Policy
CPA Rights: Per Section 56 of the CPA, customers may return defective goods within 6 months of delivery for repair, replacement, or refund (at their choice), unless defects result from misuse, negligence, or normal wear and tear.
Cooling-Off Period: Per Section 44 of ECTA, online purchases can be canceled within 7 days of receipt for a full refund, provided goods are unused, in original packaging, and not excluded (e.g., opened software).
Reporting Issues: Customers must report any issues with their order within 7 days of delivery to facilitate prompt resolution.
Process:
- Contact info@ultrateq.co.za with proof of purchase within 7 days for voluntary returns or 6 months for defects.
- Goods must be returned in original, undamaged packaging at the customer’s expense (unless defective, then Ultrateq covers shipping per CPA).
- Refunds are processed within 15 business days after inspection and approval, via the original payment method (Payfast, Mobicred, or Payflex).
Exclusions: No returns for opened/used software, custom items, or goods damaged by customer misuse.
Handling Fee: Ultrateq may levy a reasonable handling fee for non-defective returns.
Buy Now Pay Later: Returns for Mobicred or Payflex purchases follow the same rules, with refunds credited to the respective account, subject to their terms.
Shipping and Delivery Policy
Timeframes: Orders are processed within 2-3 business days and delivered within 5-7 business days in South Africa, subject to stock and courier availability.
Costs: Shipping fees are displayed at checkout. Additional fees may apply for rural areas or special delivery requests.
Risk Transfer: Risk passes to the customer upon delivery to the courier. Ultrateq will assist with courier claims for lost/damaged goods.
Inspection: Customers must inspect goods upon delivery and report issues (missing/damaged items) on the delivery note and to Ultrateq within 3 business days.
Failed Delivery: If delivery fails due to incorrect customer details, re-delivery costs apply.
Warranty Policy
Implied Warranty: Per CPA Section 56, goods carry a 6-month warranty for quality and suitability. Ultrateq will repair, replace, or refund defective items within this period.
Exclusions: No warranty for misuse, unauthorized repairs, or consumable parts.
Process: Submit claims to info@ultrateq.co.za with proof of purchase. Goods must be returned in original packaging for inspection.
