What Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly and some information automatically when you use our website.

Information You Share Directly:

Your name, surname, billing and shipping addresses, email address, and phone number. Your payment details (processed securely through Payfast, Mobicred, or Payflex – we don’t store your full card info ourselves). Details about your orders and what you’ve bought from us. What kind of updates you’d like to hear from us and any messages you send our way. Information you provide when you create an account (like your username and password). Anything you share if you take part in our surveys or promotions.

Information We Collect Automatically:
Your computer’s internet address (IP address), the type of browser you’re using, and your operating system. How you use our website, like which pages you visit and how long you stay. Information from cookies and similar technologies (check out our Cookie Policy below). This helps us personalize your experience and might include showing you relevant ads.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:
Process your orders and get them to you, including sending confirmations and invoices. Keep you in the loop about your orders, product info, special deals, and important updates. Provide awesome customer support and answer your questions and requests. Make our website and services even better for you. Personalize your shopping experience, like suggesting products you might like. Keep our website secure and prevent fraud. Follow legal requirements. Send you marketing stuff (like newsletters and special offers) only if you’ve said it’s okay. You can change your mind anytime.

How We Share Your Information

We might share your information with:
Payment processors (Payfast, Mobicred, Payflex): They handle your payments securely, and their own privacy policies apply.
Delivery companies: To get your purchases to you. We only share the necessary shipping details.
Service providers: Companies that help us with things like website hosting, analyzing data, sending emails, advertising, and managing customer relationships. They have to keep your info safe.
Legal authorities: If the law says we have to.
If our business changes hands: If we merge with or get bought by another company, your info might be transferred to the new owners so they can keep providing services to you. We’ll let you know if this happens and if their privacy policy is different.

We will never sell your personal information to other companies for their own marketing.

Keeping Your Data Safe
We take strong steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, sharing, changes, or destruction. These include:
Using secure encryption (SSL) for all data that travels between you and our website. Regularly checking and updating our security systems. Limiting who can access your personal information – only those who need it and are bound by confidentiality. Using technologies like firewalls to protect our systems.
While we do our best to keep your data safe, please remember that nothing online is 100% secure.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We’ll keep your personal information for as long as we need it to do the things outlined in this policy, or for longer if the law requires or allows it. How long we keep it depends on what the information is and why we collected it (e.g., we keep order history for accounting and warranty purposes).

Ultrateq – Returns & Refunds Policy
Last Updated: April 24, 2025

We want you to be thrilled with your Ultrateq purchase! If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, we’re here to make things right. Please take a moment to read our policy below.

Your Rights are Protected (CPA & ECTA)

Faulty Gear? (CPA to the Rescue!): If your tech arrives with a defect or isn’t working as it should within 6 months of delivery, the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) has you covered. You can choose to have it repaired, replaced, or get a full refund – it’s your call, unless the issue was caused by you not using it properly, being careless, or just normal wear and tear. Changed Your Mind? (ECTA’s Cooling-Off Period): Bought something online and had a change of heart? The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) gives you 7 days from when you receive your order to send it back for a full refund. Just make sure it’s unused, in its original packaging, and not something that can’t be returned once opened (like software).

Oops! Something’s Wrong With Your Order?
Please let us know within 7 days of receiving your order if there’s anything missing or damaged so we can sort it out quickly for you.

How to Return Something
Get in Touch: Email us at info@ultrateq.co.za with your order number and tell us why you’d like to return the item. Proof of Purchase: Make sure to include your receipt or proof of purchase.
Packaging: Please send the item back in its original, undamaged packaging.

Who Pays for Return Shipping?
If it’s faulty (within the CPA guidelines): We’ll cover the cost of the return shipping. If you’re returning it because you changed your mind (within the ECTA cooling-off period): You’ll need to pay for the return shipping.

Getting Your Refund
Once We Get It Back: We’ll give your return a once-over to make sure everything checks out. Then, we’ll email you to let you know if your refund has been approved.
How You’ll Get Your Money: If approved, we’ll process your refund back to the original payment method you used (Payfast, Mobicred, or Payflex) within 15 business days. Using “Buy Now, Pay Later”? If you paid with Mobicred or Payflex, the refund will go back to your account with them, following their specific policies.

A Few Things We Can’t Take Back
Sorry, but we usually can’t accept returns for:
● Software that’s been opened or used.
● Items that were custom-made just for you.
● Items that you’ve damaged due to misuse.

What About Handling Fees?
For returns where there’s no fault on our part (like if you changed your mind), we might charge a reasonable handling fee. We’ll let you know if this applies to your return.
Exchanges (If Something’s Defective)
If your item is defective or damaged, we’ll gladly exchange it for the same item. Just email us at info@ultrateq.co.za, and we’ll give you the details on where to send the faulty product.
Gifts
If it was a gift and shipped to you: You’ll get a gift credit for the value of the return once we receive it. We’ll mail you a gift certificate.
If the gift giver had it shipped to themselves:
The refund will go back to them, and they’ll know about the return.

Sending Your Return
Please send your return to the address we provide when you contact us. You’re responsible for the shipping costs unless the item was faulty (as per CPA). Shipping costs aren’t refundable. If you get a refund, the cost of return shipping might be deducted from it.

How Long Does It Take?
Processing Time: We usually process your order within 2-3 business days (that’s Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays) after we receive your order confirmation email.
Delivery Time: Once your order ships, it typically takes another 5-7 business days to arrive anywhere in South Africa. Please keep in mind that this can depend on stock availability and how busy our courier partners are. You’ll get another email from us when your order has shipped.

Checking Your Order Status
When your order leaves our warehouse, we’ll send you an email with a tracking number. You can use this number to see where your package is and its estimated delivery date. Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking information to show up.
Haven’t Received Your Order?
If your order hasn’t arrived within 5-7 days after you got your shipping confirmation email, please get in touch with us at info@ultrateq.co.za with your name and order number. We’ll look into it for you right away.

Where Do We Ship?
We’re proud to ship to most locations across South Africa! You’ll see the available shipping options and costs at checkout.

Shipping Costs
The shipping fees for your order will be displayed clearly at checkout. Please note that there might be additional charges for deliveries to rural areas or if you have special delivery requests.

Who’s Responsible During Shipping?
Once we hand your package over to the courier, the risk of loss or damage passes to you. However, don’t worry – if something goes wrong during shipping, Ultrateq will definitely help you with any claims you need to file with the courier.

Important – Inspect Your Package!
When your order arrives, please take a good look at the packaging before you sign for it. If you notice any damage or if any items seem to be missing, please make a note of this on the
delivery slip and let us know within 3 business days. This helps us with any potential claims.

Oops! Failed Delivery?
If the courier can’t deliver your order because you gave us the wrong address or weren’t available, there might be extra charges for redelivery. Please double-check your shipping details at checkout to avoid any delays or extra costs.

We Don’t Ship to P.O. Boxes (For Now)
At this time, we’re unable to ship to P.O. Box addresses. Please provide a physical delivery address when you place your order.

Ultrateq – Warranty Policy
Last Updated: April 24, 2025
We stand behind the quality of the products we offer at Ultrateq. Here’s what you need to know about our warranty.

Your Standard Warranty (CPA)
As per Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), all goods we sell come with an implied warranty of 6 months against defects in quality and suitability for their intended purpose. If you find a defect within this period, we’ll gladly repair, replace, or refund the item for you. The choice is yours!

What’s Not Covered?
Please note that our warranty doesn’t cover issues that arise from:
● Misusing the product or not following the instructions.
● Attempting unauthorized repairs.
● Normal wear and tear over time.
● Consumable parts (like batteries, unless they are faulty upon arrival).

How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe you have a valid warranty claim, here’s what to do:
Get in Touch: Email us at info@ultrateq.co.za with your proof of purchase (your order number or receipt).
Tell Us What’s Wrong: Please describe the issue you’re experiencing in detail.
Packaging: If we need the item back for inspection, please return it in its original packaging if possible.

What Happens Next?
Once we receive your claim and the product (if required), we’ll inspect it to determine if the issue is covered under warranty. If it is, we’ll then proceed with the repair, replacement, or refund, based on your preference and what’s feasible.

Additional Supplier Warranties
Some of the products we offer might also come with an additional warranty provided by the manufacturer or supplier. If this is the case, the details of this additional warranty will usually be included with the product documentation. If you need to make a claim under a supplier’s warranty, please contact us, and we’ll help facilitate the process where possible.

Questions?
If you have any questions about our Warranty Policy, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@ultrateq.co.za. We’re here to ensure you have peace of mind with your Ultrateq purchase!
